Step back in time to the battlefields of World War I and II, where history’s most defining wars unfolded. From the trenches of the western front to the catastrophe of operation “Market Garden”, students will gain a deep understanding of the personal sacrifices, the scale of destruction, and the lasting impact of these global conflicts.
Explore the intense political, military, and ideological battles of the Cold War. Visit sites where east met west and where the iron curtain divided Europe for decades. From Berlin’s iconic Berlin Wall to the remnants of the Soviet Union occupation, students will witness the tension, espionage, and diplomacy that defined this era.
Tour costs include return economy airfares from Australia, internal transport between cities and to visit attractions, accommodation with breakfast daily, entry fees to a number of museums, expert guides leading you throughout the tour and travel insurance. This program is open to exclusive school-specific groups or be a part of our “walk the ground” group consisting of individual students from across Australia.

The Somme: Visit the haunting trenches, memorials, and cemeteries that commemorate the thousands who lost their lives in World War I. In particular July 1916 and the battles that Australians featured in. Visit such places as Villers-Brettoneux, Pozieres, Le Hamel, Amiens, Paschendale and more.
Versailles and Paris: Visit where the treaty of 1919 was signed. Learn about the French resistance in Paris during the second world war.

Anne Frank, Market-Garden
Amsterdam: Visit the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam, learn about Dutch occupation and suffering of the population during the war
Arnhem/Oosterbeek: Delve deep into operation “Market Garden”…the largest airborne operation in history, which became a tragedy for the allies.

Berlin, Nuremberg, Munich
Berlin: Reflect on the atrocities of the Holocaust at sites like the Berlin Memorial.
Walk along the remnants of the Berlin Wall, one of the Cold War’s most powerful symbols of division. Gain insight into the intense standoffs between East and West during the Cold War at the iconic border crossing checkpoint Charlie.
Nuremberg:
Visit the Nazi Rally grounds, and documentation centre, and the venue of the trials for war crimes after the war.
Munich:
Explore the history of this Bavarian city with a sobering visit to the Dachau concentration camp.
