This 14-day tour provides students with a deep dive into the history of the Vietnam War. From Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, they’ll explore key historical sites, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Vietnamese Army Museum, Cu Chi Tunnels, and the War Remnants Museum. Key moments like the Tet Offensive, the Battle of Hue, and the My Lai Massacre are central to the journey, offering students an invaluable, firsthand look at the war's significant events.

Beyond the battlefields, students will engage with local culture through activities like a water puppet show in Hanoi and a visit to the Mekong Delta. These experiences help students understand the broader impact of the war on Vietnam’s people, culture, and development, creating space for reflection and conversation about the long-term effects of war.

Our itinerary covers key cities and war sites, including Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Saigon, and the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Students will travel by bus and boat, visiting important locations such as the Vinh Moc Tunnels, Khe Sanh Combat Base, and the Reunification Palace, ensuring an extensive and engaging journey through Vietnam’s war-torn history and today’s vibrant culture.

Designed for modern history students who may choose this as an elective during year 11 or 12, or for students interested in this part of history and would like to learn more…. this immersive tour offers a unique opportunity to visit key war sites, from the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Cu Chi Tunnels to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and the War Remnants Museum. Along the way, students will gain a deeper understanding of the war's impact on Vietnam and its people, engage in thought-provoking reflections, and connect with the vibrant local culture.

Tour costs include international flights from Australia, Accomodation in 3 star hotels throughout, breakfast daily, transfers, entry fees to most attractions and expert local guide, as well as experienced staff to lead students throughout.
